Language course

The SENGHOR school is a multicultural school, open to the world, which welcomes many families from the oil sector with high international mobility. Our establishment took the option from the start of the 2018 school year to deliver reinforced multilingual education: French, English, from the small section.

We offer an ambitious and adapted language course: the P.A.R.L.E (Adapted and Reinforced Foreign Language Courses). The PARLE course, designed by the AEFE, aims to qualitatively reinforce the linguistic training of students and to strengthen their mastery of a living foreign language. The number of hours of our PARLE has been significantly increased at the start of the 2022 school year. In order to favor oral communication, the teaching of English is provided in ½ class (12 students maximum). We have four English teachers from cycle 1 to cycle 3.

This course combines the teaching of English in groups of needs and CLIL, teaching of a subject (sciences, visual arts, PE) in English. Specific preparation for the international "TOEFL Junior" certification is also offered to our students.

The pedagogy implemented aims to strengthen the mastery of the English language by all students in order to best prepare them for their higher education courses, their professional projects and their future as citizens in an open world. This priority that we give to the development of a multilingual education thus meets the expectations of French and foreign families who wish to offer their children an education that meets the requirements of the French educational model by integrating a real international openness.
